User Acceptance Testing Accountant
3 Month Contract | £300 per day - Outside IR35 | West Sussex | Onsite
An established business is seeking an experienced UAT Accountant to support a key financial systems migration over a three month assignment, running from early November 2026 through to the end of January 2027.
Working closely with the Financial Controller and implementation team, you will play a hands on role in testing, validating and reconciling accounting data and processes ahead of the new system going live.
Key responsibilities include:
- Executing UAT scripts across core accounting and finance processes.
- Testing and validating customer invoices, credit notes, supplier bills, payments and journal entries.
- Reconciling imported data, opening balances, AR/AP control accounts and bank balances against legacy records.
- Checking VAT treatments, foreign currency transactions, fixed assets and month end accounting processes.
- Identifying and documenting discrepancies, logging system defects and supporting their resolution.
About you:
- Strong practical accounting experience across AR, AP, general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Experience supporting UAT, financial systems implementation or ERP migration projects.
- Confident using Excel for data analysis, matching and reconciliation.
- Experience with Odoo or similar ERP/accounting platforms would be advantageous.
- Highly organised, methodical and detail focused, with strong numerical accuracy.
Assignment details:
- Contract: 3 months, early November 2026 to end of January 2027
- Rate: Around £300 per day
- Location: West Sussex
- Working pattern: 3 to 5 days per week, onsite
