A dynamic Business / Data Analyst is required for a reputable, international retail business with offices in Northampton - Hybrid working.
Reporting to the CFO the Business / Data Analyst will demonstrate strong and effective team leadership skills along with an innovative approach to delivering operational excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for all the business systems covering the planning/coordinating, reviewing and maintenance of the company’s ERP and other core business systems. Additionally, all integrations and development with external suppliers is required, together with supporting the systems for end users and shaping the overall data management strategy for the company.
Business / Data Analyst Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the use of the ERP and other business systems is optimised from the perspectives of process efficiency, financial control and business effectiveness.

Review and optimise master data controls

Enable ability to rapidly scale in terms of business volume and complexity

Enhance efficiency and productivity in running streamlined business processes

Creation of data ownership structure and policies.

Lead the development and maintenance of data to provide meaningful, useful reporting.

Using approval and workflow mechanisms to drive efficiency in decision-making by appropriate delegations of authority

Development and ownership of relationships with third party developers/suppliers.

Oversee daily operational efficiency of company systems and end user support

Identify repetitive, inaccurate or time consuming processes that can be automated and deliver sustainable solutions

Measurement and review of progress against agreed/planned milestones
Candidate Requirements:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Driven to deliver with solid commercial and business awareness

Good knowledge of SQL and ERP systems, ideally Navision
-
Advanced Excel and other Microsoft products, data visualisation software/BI tools

Confident communicator with the ability to establish strong working relationships across all levels of the business

A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data

Demonstrable awareness of financial processes and data requirements

Willingness to engage with a diverse range of work and projects

Ability to translate and articulate business and technology requirements into specific tasks and deliverables
