Commercial FP&A Analyst
West Sussex | Hybrid Working (3 days office / 2 days home) | £65,000 - £75,000 + Benefits
Our client is a successful, privately owned business with an impressive track record of growth. They are seeking a commercially minded FP&A Analyst to join their finance team in a broad, hands-on role where you'll partner with stakeholders across the business to provide meaningful insight, influence strategic decision-making and drive commercial performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, turning complex data into actionable recommendations and playing a key role in improving business performance.
The Role:
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality financial analysis and commercial insight to support key business decisions. This is a varied position that combines financial planning, reporting, business partnering and systems development.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Producing insightful financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision making.
- Developing budgets, forecasts and long term financial plans.
- Building and enhancing management reporting and KPI dashboards.
- Analysing trends, profitability, margins and business performance.
- Working closely with non finance stakeholders to explain financial information in a clear, commercially focused way.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting and systems.
- Supporting senior management with ad hoc commercial analysis and business cases.
- Helping drive a data led culture across the organisation.
About You:
We're looking for an analytical and commercially focused finance professional who enjoys adding value beyond the numbers.
You will ideally have:
- A strong commercial finance or FP&A background.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear, meaningful insights.
- Good working knowledge of Power BI and experience producing insightful dashboards and reports.
- A strong systems background, with experience of Odoo or SafeSets considered highly advantageous.
- Previous experience working within a medium-sized business where you've been exposed to a broad, hands-on remit.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge, influence and build relationships across all levels of the business.
- A proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach and a genuine interest in helping the business make better commercial decisions.
