A leading, Manchester based financial services business is looking to appoint a new Finance Business Partner.
The Finance Business Partner will assume the role of trusted advisor to the business by driving performance and influencing decision making via the provision of key management information. Additional deliverables will include producing astute commercial analysis and identifying both risks and opportunities to the business moving forwards.
Finance Business Partner Responsibilities:

Partner with the senior leadership teams to deliver accurate financial information to aid decision making to maximise shareholder value and return

Identify and understand business strategy and provide highly relevant insight into business performance

Drive the monitoring of the business performance against the market cycle model on a monthly basis

Develop a deep understanding and knowledge of key business performance (KPIs) drivers and be able to draw conclusions from the suite of KPIs available

Drive business improvements and contribute to the success of the business. Act as a catalyst in driving forward initiatives critical to delivering the strategy

Take ownership for the final outputs for the entity quarterly forecasts and annual 5 year planning and budgeting

Review monthly reporting of financials and key metrics, including achievement versus budget and forecast highlighting areas of concern
Candidate Requirements:

Qualified finance professional (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)

Excellent academic record of achievement

Previous insurance industry experience - claims experience in particular would be advantageous

Extensive Finance Business Partnering experience in managing senior stakeholders

Excellent communication skills - the role requires interaction across all operational functions of the business both financial and non financial

Emotionally intelligent, with the strength of personality to ensure that the ‘Finance’ perspective is clearly articulated.

Commercially astute with excellent numerical skills

Composed with the ability to remain calm and focussed under pressure.

Excellent soft skills including the ability to influence or challenge senior stakeholders when necessary

Advanced MS Office suite user (particularly Excel)
