A dynamic, PE backed multi site retailer, is looking to appoint a Finance Manager with offices in North London on a 12 Months FTC. Hybrid working.
Working closely with the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will be primarily responsible for ensuring that key financial reports are delivered correctly and on a timely basis.
Finance Manager Key Responsibilities:

Manage a team of 6 (Qualified and Part Qualified)

Manage the month end process

Review of monthly accounts with FC/CFO/MD vs budget and last year; providing key commentary on movements

Preparing Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations, and following up actions with key stakeholders in Finance

Highlighting risks and opportunities for the Group each month

Work closely with AP team to ensure all costs are appropriately accounted for

Lead the year end audit, taking ownership of prepared by client files and answering audit queries

Work with tax advisors to produce tax computations and CT600s

Owning the preparation of Group and subsidiary statutory accounts

Analysis of key trends and business partnering on key projects and improvements

Overseeing payments runs of c£60m per year across the group
Candidate Requirements:

Excellent academic record of achievement

ACA/ACCA Qualified (Top 10 Practice)

Strong technical finance skills and a controls oriented approach

Experience of producing statutory accounts

Ability to work with a complex, matrix structure

Strong people management skills

Self sufficient with the ability to influence stakeholders

Emotionally intelligent and confident working in a fast paced, professional environment

Excellent communications skills (both verbal and written)

Previous retail experience beneficial

Excellent IT / Finance systems skills
This constitutes an excellent assignment (12 month FTC) for someone looking to make a mark and deliver meaningful change whilst working for a successful company with ambitious growth plans. Due to this rapid growth there is a good possibility of this role becoming a more permanent fixture after.
