A Finance Manager is required for a prestigious, international organisation based in Central London for an initial 9 month Fixed Term Contract.
The Finance Manager will support the UK Controller in the successful delivery of legal entity controllership responsibilities, ensuring compliance with global financial policy. The Finance Manager will be used to business partnering with both internal and external stakeholders, have a keen eye for detail and a desire to improve processes.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:

Supporting the UK Controller in the provision of internal and external financial reporting and maintaining financial control and integrity in line with UK and EMEA Controllership objectives.

Support the month end, quarter end and year end close processes for the UK legal entities ensuring all internal controls are adhered to.

Work closely with the Outsourced UK Controllership team to deliver key month end close activities in a timely manner, including Balance sheet reconciliations, allocations and intercompany, top side journals, validation and reviews of the statutory P&L and Balance sheet reports.

Management and reporting of financial data integrity through the SOx control framework and systems mapping relevant to UK entities, including the oversight and coordination of SOx controls.

Identify and recommend updates and improvements for accounting systems and ongoing process control improvements to the EMEA Controllership team.

Liaise with EMEA Controllership on the implementation and ongoing support of global policies and procedures, significant accounting policies and key checklists.

Ensure quality of Balance Sheet Recs and timely preparation and oversight thereof, focussing on Intercompany, Payroll, Bank recs, Accruals and Prepayments, VAT Control Accounts.
Experience required:

Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)

A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role

Strong technical skills, including US GAAP; SOx controls

Experience of working for a large, global organisation

Experience of using Workday and/or Hyperion HFM will be extremely advantageous

Must be self-motivated, highly organised and accurate with strong attention to detail and be able to work with minimal supervision.

Ability to forge strong working relationship with senior members of the finance team
