Head of Group Accounting & Regulatory Policy - Insurance

What you’ll be doing:
We're looking for a Head of Group Accounting and Regulatory Policy who strives to improve everything they do and has the courage to challenge the status quo. This will be of the utmost importance as the business evolves under a new leadership team with a focus on improving and accelerating financial control capabilities.
You'll focus on servicing the Group accounting and regulatory policy requirements and form close working relationships with the wider Finance team, as well as the Finance Directors and Controllers across business units.

What we need you to bring to the business:
- Qualified finance professional (ideally ACA or equivalent)
- Excellent IFRS technical knowledge and regulatory requirements – specifically within the insurance sector
- Excellent understanding of the best practices used in developing and applying accounting policies
- ‘Hands on’ attitude and intellectually curious
- A great communicator with exceptional attention to detail
- Initiative, drive, ownership with a strong determination to ‘get things right’
- Able to spot opportunities to improve processes and then automate delivery
- Excellent influencing and persuasion skills
