A well-established and growing specialist equipment hire business is seeking a proactive and organised Hire Desk Assistant to join its busy operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys balancing customer communication, scheduling and administration responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating daily and weekly job scheduling and equipment allocation
- Preparing operational paperwork and job packs for field engineers
- Managing contract hire amendments and supporting invoice processing
- Assisting with month-end administration and invoicing tasks
- Preparing quotations and following up on customer enquiries
- Maintaining internal records, including risk assessment documentation
- Handling incoming customer queries and providing operational support
- Supporting the wider team with general office administration duties
About You:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload within a reactive business
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confident using IT systems and administration software
- High attention to detail and strong customer service skills
- Comfortable working within a collaborative, fast-moving team environment
- Previous experience within hire, construction, plant, access equipment or related sectors would be advantageous
