An established and growing business is looking to appoint a Senior Finance Business Partner to strengthen its commercial finance capability and support its continued growth.
This is a senior, commercially focused position offering the opportunity to work closely with the leadership team, influence business decisions and provide financial insight that supports improved performance and profitability.
The business is continuing to develop its finance function, reporting capabilities and systems, creating an opportunity for an experienced finance professional to make a meaningful contribution to this ongoing development.
The Role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will act as a key link between Finance and the wider business, providing commercial analysis, challenging performance and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Commercial Business Partnering: Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, providing financial insight and influencing commercial and operational decisions.
- Financial Performance: Analyse revenue, costs, margins and profitability, identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Pricing and Profitability: Evaluate pricing strategies, cost structures and commercial performance to identify opportunities to improve margins.
- Financial Planning: Lead commercial budgeting, forecasting and re-forecasting, providing meaningful analysis and performance commentary.
- Strategic Projects: Support and lead cross-functional initiatives focused on business growth, operational efficiency and improved financial performance.
- Reporting and Systems: Develop management reporting, financial analysis and business intelligence capabilities, helping improve the quality and accessibility of financial information.
- Team Development: Manage and mentor a member of the finance team, working closely with the Financial Controller and wider department.
About You:
You will be a commercially minded, fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with significant experience in commercial finance, financial analysis or senior finance business partnering.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Experience within a manufacturing, distribution, product-led or multi-channel business.
- A strong understanding of commercial performance, profitability, pricing and cost analysis.
- The ability to translate complex financial information into clear, practical business recommendations.
- Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions outside Finance.
- Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems and business intelligence tools such as Power BI or similar.
- The confidence to challenge existing processes, identify opportunities and take ownership of commercial finance initiatives.
