A market leading professional services business is looking to appoint an ambitious Senior Financial Accountant to be based in Central London. Competitive salary and bonus on offer.
Working closely with the Corporate Accounting Manager, the Senior Financial Accountant will be primarily responsible for all aspects of accounts preparation and the production of key financial statements.
Financial Accountant Responsibilities:
- Lead on the preparation of the annual statutory accounts for all companies as well as being the key liaison for auditors
- Full ownership of reporting for all subsidiary companies (which includes the Property Development and Investment Management companies of which one is FCA regulated) including business partnering and forecasting,
- Responsible for the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports for Business and for Group reporting through Matisse/ Magnitude.
- Produce commentary for Group and senior management and present at board meetings when required.
- Lead the control of the financial accounting processes under IFRS during monthly close and year-end.
- Full ownership of financial reporting including fixed asset, leases, impairment analysis
- Be a key point of financial expertise within the finance team and non-financial members of staff in the wider organisation, providing financial information and advice.
- Manage the reporting to Group headquarters’ on all matters of Finance Permanent Control
- Manage and review regulatory returns including FCA and HMRC to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Oversee the Treasury function to achieve cash/ loan efficiencies
- Cash flow forecasting including weekly and monthly cash flow actual vs forecast reporting
- Periodically undertaking audits, involving the examination of the organisation's accounts, analysing risk, inspecting the organisation's current practices, investigating any financial irregularities and recommending improvements.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified finance professional - ACA or ACCA
- Strong technical finance knowledge - IFRS & FR101
- Experience of producing IFRS financial statements
- Advanced finance systems background - MS Dynamics or SUN will be very advantageous
- Outstanding spreadsheet/Excel modelling skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - proven ability to communicate at all levels across ofthe company including those with no financial background.
- Emotionally intelligent with a disciplined approach to work
