Senior Management Accountant

The Opportunity:
We’re seeking a skilled Senior Management Accountant to take ownership of producing accurate management accounts and delivering insightful reports to support key business decisions. In this role, you'll collaborate across the finance team, partner closely with FP&A, and play a pivotal part in driving financial strategy and performance.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the production of monthly accounts and management reporting, including P&Ls and KPIs.
- Continuously improve the quality and efficiency of financial reporting and team processes.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly cost reports, analysing variances and trends to provide actionable insights.
- Challenge budget holders to optimize the cost base and share best practices.
- Oversee the balance sheet, reconciliations, VAT returns, and all statutory and regulatory reporting.
- Support annual budget preparation and cash flow forecasting in collaboration with the FP&A team.
- Liaise with auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory and investor requirements.
- Ensure financial systems are effective, accurate, and up to date.
- Lead and develop team members, fostering accountability and clear deliverables.
- Provide ad hoc financial, business, and strategic insights to support leadership.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with proven management accounting experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accountability for delivering high quality work.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Deep technical expertise in operational finance processes (AP, AR, etc.) and accounting systems.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to handle large datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
