A well established facilities management group is seeking an experienced Soft Services Director to lead its nationwide operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, this pivotal leadership role will oversee multi-site service delivery across cleaning, security and a range of specialist support services, delivered both in-house and via subcontractors.
With full P&L accountability, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving financial performance, enhancing operational resilience and ensuring services consistently meet the highest standards of quality, compliance and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and inspire multi site operational teams to consistently deliver service excellence across all contracts.
- Provide proactive, hands on leadership with a particular focus on the complexities of security service management.
- Take full accountability for the financial performance of the soft services division, achieving revenue and profit targets.
- Oversee all aspects of service delivery, ensuring strict compliance with SLAs, KPIs and health & safety standards.
- Drive operational efficiency and embed a culture of continuous improvement to enhance service resilience.
- Build and maintain strong senior level client relationships, representing the division at board level with authority and credibility.
- Contribute to business growth by supporting tender submissions, bids and key commercial decision making.
Candidate Profile:
- Extensive senior leadership experience within soft services, facilities management or a related sector.
- Proven success managing complex, multi site operations with full P&L responsibility.
- Proactive, self driven professional with a strong corporate background; prior experience with leading service providers is highly desirable.
- Strong people leader with a track record of motivating and managing large, diverse teams while delivering outstanding client engagement.
- Commercially astute, skilled at driving operational efficiency, financial performance and client satisfaction, while upholding the highest standards of compliance and quality.
- Deep commitment to health, safety, regulatory compliance and continuous service improvement.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at executive and client level.
- London or Home Counties based, with a reliable commute to support regular central London work.
- Flexible to begin on a 4 days office / 1 day remote hybrid pattern, with scope to transition to a 3/2 model in line with business needs.
