Transactional Finance Lead
High Growth Online Business | West Sussex / Hybrid
A high growth, international e-commerce business is seeking a Transactional Finance Lead to oversee its Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions during an exciting period of expansion.
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will manage a small transactional team overseeing the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable data. This is a key role, leading high volume transaction teams while ensuring robust data controls and efficient processes are maintained across both functions.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing a team to ensure supplier and customer accounts are up to date and reconciled
- Overseeing invoicing and reconciliations across multiple currencies and high data volumes
- Designing and implementing robust processes and controls across the ledgers
- Introducing monthly AP/AR reporting with relevant insights and commentary
- Collaborating with finance and commercial teams to maintain accurate account terms
- Driving improvements in processes, automation and efficiency
About You:
- Strong experience in sales or purchase ledger functions
- A background in leading and developing transactional finance teams
- Confidence working in a multi-currency, high volume environment
- Advanced Excel skills (vlookups, sumifs, pivot tables)
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement ability
- A proactive, curious approach with a drive to improve processes
